When a friend emailed me about the Dorothy Cannell Scholarship awarded by Sisters in Crime with the opportunity to attend the Malice Domestic mystery conference, I knew I had to apply. And a few weeks later, I received another email with the subject line, CONGRATULATIONS!

Opening that email to read, “Congratulations! You were chosen as the winner of the 2021 Dorothy Cannell Scholarship!” made my day, I’m so excited for this amazing opportunity, and thankful to Sisters in Crime for providing such an award that will help me and my writing career.

I’m wishing all of my fellow applicants the best of luck in their writing endeavors.
